Valuon exists to bring more rigor to how the value of healthcare technology is measured, compared, and understood.
Too often, the value of healthcare technology is asserted but not clearly measured. Valuon helps health systems and their partners validate outcomes, compare results across organizations, and make better decisions based on stronger evidence of what actually works.

Mike Vipond is the Founder and CEO of Valuon Research. He brings a distinctive combination of healthcare technology, finance, and commercial leadership experience, with deep knowledge of the healthcare provider market. Over the course of his career, he has worked in roles spanning strategy, product, go-to-market, advisory services, and corporate finance. He began his healthcare technology career at Cerner and later held senior leadership roles at ServiceNow, Laudio and symplr, giving him experience across multiple stages of growth and parts of the healthcare technology landscape. Mike earned a B.A. in Economics from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
That breadth of experience is central to why he founded Valuon. Mike has seen firsthand how healthcare organizations evaluate technology investments, how vendors position expected value, and how difficult it can be to measure whether results are actually realized after go-live. His background combines healthcare technology operating experience with strong financial discipline, allowing him to connect strategic intent, implementation reality, and measurable ROI in a way that resonates with health system executives. It is a perspective especially well suited to building a company focused on bringing greater rigor, comparability and credibility to the measurement of healthcare technology outcomes.
